Avid hikers can venture off to nearby state park hiking trails of various skills; skiiers can seek out the slopes at Hunter or Windham Mt. ski areas; and tourists may try our streams filled with trout, the Hudson River or the state park lakes.

Our main vacation season is May through October. Ski season is late November to March, and three ski areas are easy drive – closest is only 15 minutes away. Ski Windham with snowmaking and a Hunter Mt. is also a major ski area that is 22 miles. Cortina Ski Area is also close and an easier family type place.

Cross country skiing depends upon snow build-up and is available here or at special areas nearby.

We only have a limited number of motels open during the winter. They are available on nightly basis.
